Set in the delightful surrounds of Tasmanian bush and Blackman’s Bay, looking out to the Tasman Sea, the Maryknoll Retreat and Conference Centre is only 20 minute drive from Hobart airport. This gem in a convenient and quiet location is available to Schools, Staff and Parishes for retreats, meetings, conferences and just ‘time out’. The Presentation Sisters run an annual programme of Retreats and Days of Reflection. Individual Retreats can be arranged. Maryknoll Ministry also includes facilities for Ecumenical Groups and Spiritual Direction. Individuals and groups are welcome to spend quiet time at Maryknoll for private reflection and prayer. School groups are also welcome The large grounds are perfect to sit in contemplation or for a quiet walk, with paths leading down to the beach.

MacKillop Hill Spirituality Centre is conducted by the Sisters of St Joseph, Tasmania. Staff are trained in theology, spirituality, psychology, pastoral care, pastoral leadership and education. The Centre welcomes people of all faiths, or no particular religious persuasion. Implicit in the ministry of the Centre is the extension of hospitality to the people who participate in programs, social and community events and those who just ‘drop in’ for information, a chat and a ‘cuppa’. Forth is a tiny village in north-west Tasmania on the Forth River, 11 kilometres west of Devonport and 110 kilometres north-west of Launceston.

The Centre is located in Launceston and offers a range of programs in faith development, personal growth, and pastoral formation. A key ministry of the Centre is the provision of ongoing Spiritual Direction. Private and directed retreats are offered throughout the year. The 23 bedroom facility is available for Church and Community groups. A Labyrinth set in a beautiful Tasmanian native garden provides a unique contemplative experience for many. Spiritual direction is at the heart of the Centre’s activity. The provision of personal spiritual direction is available for all who seek to deepen their prayer life and explore their relationship with God. Lay and religious, men and women minister at the Centre.
