The 3 star Art Hotel is located 175 m from a long sandy beach in the seaside district of Scheveningen in The Hague, the international city of justice and peace. Modern, comfortable rooms are available on a B & B basis along with spacious, fully equipped apartments. Accommodation is also available in a former rectory still owned by the Catholic Church. The complex is located next to the Lourdes Grot, a unique 1:13 scale replica of the Lourdes Grotto in Massabielle, France and which is open to the public between 9am-6pm daily. The Lourdes parish was established in 1913. The area is known as the ‘Kropholler Kerkdorp’ (Kropholler’s church village) after the architect A J Kropholler, one of the most famous turn of the century ‘traditionalist’ Dutch architects. From The Hague it is easy to explore the surrounding areas of this tiny country. Delft, famous for pottery and the painter Vermeer is nearby. Amsterdam is just 40 kms from The Hague.
