The Augustinian monastery in Erfurt is a unique monument of medieval religious architecture where many of the buildings date from the 13th and 14th centuries.

The monastery is well-located near the centre of Erfurt and is open to tourists, groups or to anyone who wishes to overnight in a working monastery. The newly renovated single and twin/double guestrooms are all ensuite and one guestroom is wheelchair accessable. All meals are available.

In the early 16th century Martin Luther joined the order and lived and studied at the monastery. He was ordained in Erfurt in 1506. Visitors to the town can follow the Luther Trail, a pilgrims' route and hiking trail leading to more than 30 Thuringian locations associated with the life and works of Martin Luther.
