Lovely stay..beautiful people..great location. Nice breakfast included. Would stay there again
My niece Jenny and I have a lovely stay at your Dublin center. The rooms were very comfortable and the location was perfect for us. While I communicated with Maddeline via e-mail to book the stay, it was Catherine (a volunteer) who worked the evening, and was there to welcome us. We actually never had the opportunity to meet Maddeline, due to her tea and lunch schedule conflicting with our tour plans. I kiddingly told Catherine that Maddeline doesn't really exist, she is really her 'imaginary friend!' I would stay at the Dublin center in a heartbeat!
Good accommodation and wonderful staff. Not far from Grafton Street. No complaints and would stay here again.
Welcome to Catherine's House, the first house of Mercy built by Catherine McAuley (1778 - 1841) in Dublin. The Mercy International is a welcoming place of hospitality, heritage, pilgrimage and renewal and is the original convent of the Order of The Sisters of Mercy.
In 1994, the Mercy International Association undertook its first major project and fully restored the property. The house was opened to the public by the then-President of Ireland, Mary Robinson and became known as the Mercy International Centre. The building is distinctive for the life-size bronze statue of Catherine McAuley on the path outside the main door.
The sisters conduct guided tours of the property at 1000 each Monday to Friday. Take a tour to discover more about the life of Catherine McAuley and the legacy she left behind and the work of the Sisters of Mercy and their associates throughout the world.
PLEASE NOTE. Mercy International is a small guesthouse. To be sure of a confirmation please book EARLY.
