Exceeded my expectations! Great location, quiet, clean, comfortable bed and amazing shower!
Our stay at the Monastery was wonderful. The nuns were warm and welcoming. We were invited for breakfast but due to our am excursion we were sad not to enjoy their company. We felt safe and loved the grounds, view and yes, even the hike up the hill! We are two middle aged ICU nurses who finally were able to travel Italy. Thank you for accepting our request!
Wonderful, quiet stay. Little tricky finding it, be sure to have address to show to a taxi driver, so many local taxis even did not know where it was. Yes, close-ish to train station in Sorrento, between 2 stops. We took taxi all the way from Naples, two couples shared the fare, better than train switching and possibly standing for the hour train ride and then walking to find the convent. And glad we did as I think we would have gotten off at the more distant station. Very clean, comfortable accommodations that are a little off the beaten path but you can't beat the view. It is about a 15 minute easy walk to the town's action but there are restaurants and bars fairly close. The Sisters were pleasant and provide a small self serve breakfast of coffee, tea, yogurts, meat, cheese, pastries and fresh fruit. All that you really need. The terraces were just wonderful! After a day of sightseeing we would end our day there with a bottle of wine and snacks and watch the sun set over the Mediterranean Sea as we recounted our day. Highly recommend if you are open to something different. And be prepared for little English spoken by the Sisters. We communicated our way through our combined broken English, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese!
Views are amazing and the convent is walking distance to the centre of this gorgeous town. Hospitable hosts already ready to help. Wide choice at breakfast. Our room was very large and opened out on to a sunny patio. Nowhere near as expensive as a hotel in the same area. Hope to stay here again.

Excellent service a warm hostesses. Well located, just a few minutes from Sorrento’s turístico center. Place is super clean, not luxurious but comfortable. You may have a park space. Place is quiet, attention is superb. Sisters are lovely (just get there before midnight). Love it. I will return. Monica and he rest of the sisters are great.
We can't complain about the accommodation here. Our room was spacious and opened on to a balcony. The breakfast is more than adequate and we were in close proximity to cafes and eating places in the main town center. I noticed some guests leaving for the beach, but we were intent on exploring this magic part of Italy. The roof terrace is a relaxing place to enjoy the spectacular views of the sea and Mt Vesuvius.
La Culla convent guest house is situated in an 18th century Italian villa, atop a small hill approximately 1.2 km from the heart of Sorrento. The building is bordered by wide, covered terraces and loggias, all with panoramic views over the Bay of Naples and Mt Vesuvius. Many of the upstairs guest rooms share the same spectacular outlook.
Guest rooms are spacious and comfortable and all have ensuite bathrooms, All meals are available but reservations are necessary.
La Culla is a quiet and popular holiday house for many Italian families during the local school holidays as the beach is within walking distance. A series of narrow laneways and various shortcuts for those in the know (the sisters will advise) lead to the Bay and the beach.
With plenty of shady corners in which to relax, the water close by and unbeatable views, La Culla is the perfect hideaway for a holiday and a handy base for exploring the Amalfi Coast.
