This lovely rural former 16th century farmhouse is located on the route of the Via Francigena, the ancient road and pilgrim route from the cathedral city of Canterbury to Rome and to Italy's eastern ports for further travel to the Holy Land. Once owned by the Knights Templar the property is managed by lay staff who cater for pilgrims, Parish and school groups, tourists and general travellers. This spacious complex has recently been fully restored and furnished with antique Tuscan style pieces. A medieval chapel is still very much in use and is available for private ceremonies. Past pilgrims would possibly be envious of the infinity swimming pool, which has sweeping views over the surrounding countryside.
The farm lies in extensive grounds and is surrounded by nature reserves. Much of the food served in the restaurant is grown on the property.
Horse riding and hunting tuition is available, and cooking classes are held regularly.
