Lonigo is a small town in the Province of Vicenza, situated between the ancient city of Verona and the enchanting town of Vicenza. The imposing Villa San Fermo is perched on a gentle hill, surrounded by greenery and overlooks the little town. San Fermo is a rather grand abbey, constructed in the 15th and 16th centuries and first occupied by he secular canons of San Giorgio in Alga. The abbey returned to private hands for a short time before the Jesuits took over. Some years later the abbey passed to the current owners, the Sons of Mary Immaculate, a religious congregation founded by Italian Roman Catholic priest, the venerable Lodovico Pavoni (1784 – 1849).
The Villa San Fermo is a large complex and a perfect venue for private functions, conferences and meetings of all kinds. Tourists and travellers are welcome and the spacious and comfortable guest rooms have been recently renovated. Some rooms have original frescoed ceilings.
The villa's chapel is used for weddings and liturgical celebrations. There are spacious and well-equipped rooms for meetings and private functions.
