Sanctuary Firenze was perfect and truly a sanctuary from the unceasing crowds on the streets. It was very clean, the nuns very friendly, picturesque, and has a huge garden in the centre. Perfect and felt very safe and thank you Jill Perth Australia
Thankyou for a fabulous stay the accommodation was perfect in every way.
I loved this accommodation, yes it was basic but it was comfortable and it had everything I required, also as a solo traveller, I felt safe there. The sisters were welcoming and other guests very friendly. The location was ideal. A perfect place to stay.
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay with you! The sisters were so lovely and helpful. I'm sure there is a very good reason for it but, environmentally speaking only, was wondering if it would be possible to have no plastic on the croissants and less packaged things like butter/jam? Other than that, I would recommend Good Night and God Bless to everyone!
Wonderful clean place. Great location. Sorellas are so kind and helpful. Paid on PayPal prior to paying when I got there. Still paid full cost once there. Waiting for the refund from Paypal or the place. Thank you kind sorellas!
Thank you for a lovely stay. It was wonderful to look out over the garden and have Our Lord in the chapel.
It was hard to leave this gorgeous convent hotel. It had everything a visitor could possibly need. I will definitely be back. Three days is not long enough to see everything this fascinating city has to offer. The sisters are lovely.
The recently renovated Sanctuary guest house is located in the centre of historical Florence, and only steps from the Duomo, the spiritual and architectural showpiece which dominates the city.T he Sanctuary Firenze is managed by an order of convivial nuns, the Suore Oblate dell’ Assunzione and is located in an upmarket area, perfect for exploring the city on foot.
The Oblate Sisters have been offering hospitality to travellers since 1928 and welcome people of all faiths and none. And while religion isn't spruiked here, guests are welcome to attend Mass in the chapel, if they wish.
The gracious 15th century building was once a Medici palazzo, reflected in frescoes, cross-arches and capitals and the expansive (and surprising) Renaissance garden, to the rear. This tranquil space is reserved for the exclusive use of the guests of the Sanctuary. The guest house is impeccably clean and well looked after, safe and centrally located, and the accommodation comes without the crazy Florentine price tag. Breakfast is included in the price and guest rooms overlook the back garden or the (mostly) pedestrian street in front of the building.
The sisters do not process booking requests over a weekend. Please book early to avoid disappointment.
