Our stay at the family apartment at Villa Letizia was very comfortable. We extended our stay to 5 nights and then returned to stay another 3 nights. Michel and the sisters were very accommodating, even going so far as to loan us Euros to pay our taxi driver from the when we realized he did not accept credit cards. While the location of Villa Letizia is outside of Rome city center, I did not mind the little bit of extra effort to get to all the sight seeing in Rome. I felt very safe at all times, even walking from nearby bus stops late at night. There are two supermarkets a short walk from the property where one can purchase hot meals or snacks. There are not many options for restaurants nearby, but both restaurants we walked to had good food at reasonable prices. Villa Letizia was a perfect location for our family trip to Rome and we would stay there again should we return.
I really enjoyed my stay! I would highly recommend to anyone traveling to Rome and if I come back, this is where I would come.
Villa Letizia is situated in a traditional Roman residential neighborhood and a short distance from street cafes and trattorias, piazzas and pizzerias. The Catechist Sisters of Sant'Anna have been offering hospitality to tourists, travellers, pilgrims and families for almost 50 years and the villa is well set up for a safe and comfortable stay in peaceful surroundings. And free car parking is a definite bonus in Rome.
The guest rooms have ensuite bathrooms and some come with a private balcony overlooking the rooftops of the Eternal City. A spacious garden provides a tranquil environment in which to relax and spend some quiet time, away from the crowds. A chapel is available for guests and all are welcome to join the sisters in prayer services.
Breakfast is included in the price and the attentive and helpful staff are happy to provide local tourist information and advise on transport options. Transfers to and from the airport can be arranged as can tickets to the Papal Audience.
