We stayed here as a family on our way to Genoa This is a very good choice for an active holiday -and especially groups of school kids. A big group of scouts were staying here at the same time. However, they were out all day and came back exhausted in the late afternoon, so peace reigned. We appreciated the comfort and the simplicity of the accommodation and the beauty of the surrounds.
The Casa San Giuseppe dates back to the early 1900s and is located in the hamlet of Pessinetto Fuori, in the Municipality of Pessinetto. This tiny commune in the Lanzo Valley is home to 150 people in a municipality of 600 residents.
Casa Vacanze San Giuseppe was formerly occupied by Christian Brothers. However, after closing it doors some years ago the complex has been taken over by a former student of the Brothers, with the aim of converting the complex into a comfortable and well managed holiday house.
The holiday house is set in a tranquil location on the slopes of Mount Oreasco and surrounded by the mountains of Piedmont. Casa San Giuseppe can cater for single travellers, families or groups large and small. All travellers and pilgrims are welcome.
High on a hill above the little town stands the monastery and Sanctuary of St Ignatius, a pilgrimage destination commemorating miracles attributed to St Ignatius of Loyola.
