The Benedict XVI Retreat Centre is an initiative of the Sydney Catholic Archdiocese and is located in a peaceful bushland setting, on the edge of the Blue Mountains National Park, between Richmond and the Blue Mountains. The centre is an ideal venue for large meetings, seminars and all group events. A minimum of 30 people per booking is a requirement and this applies to both Australian and international group bookings. No accommodation is available to individuals and travellers.
The new buildings and facilities are purpose-built so students, teachers and parishioners as well as clergy and other groups can take time out to unwind, reflect and reconnect. The centre aims to ‘provide a peaceful rural setting in which members of the Catholic Community can explore and deepen their faith’.
The centre has recently undergone a full renovation. All guestrooms are en-suite and fitted with reverse-cycle air conditioning. The centre boasts more than 150 beds in twin and multi-bed configurations. Facilities include a new kitchen, dining-hall (catering with tailored menus to suit can be arranged), a laundry for the use of guests, swimming pool, sporting and audio-visual equipment, meeting rooms and extensive grounds.
