Rimini is 16 km from Cesenatico. The medieval walls and castles of San Marino are 40 km south and the World Heritage listed monuments of Ravenna are 30 km north.
The population of Cesenatico increases in the summer months when tourists, families and locals flock to the beach. The beach and bathing establishments are well equipped with pedal boats, and marine equipment for hire, and food and cold drinks are available. Tourists will find much to do in the area. Teenagers and families could visit largest fun park in Italy, Mirabilandia, which is located in Ravenna (30 km). A water park is just 2 blocks from Stella Marina and Italia in Miniatura leisure park in Rimini, displays perfect scale reproductions of Italian and European monuments. (17 km). A maritime museum, shops, cafes and restaurants can be found in the Porto Canale area of the old town.
We stayed here on a whim as the hotel looked to be child friendly online and in a good position. The proximity to the beach was another factor. Our kids had a great time and the accommodation was affordable. We ate in local bistros, wandered around the shops and enjoyed the calm waters. Friendly staff. A memorable few days of relaxation.
Cesenatico is one of the most popular resort towns on the Riviera Romagnola. The ancient 'old town' is spread around an attractive harbour, and over the centuries Cesenatico grew from a fisherman's village to a fisherman's town, signalled today by the vast number of seafood restaurants and maritime accoutrements. The harbour and the streets by waterfront are particularly busy during the summer months and during this time the area is closed to motor traffic.
Stella Marina lies close to the beach and is a good value guest house for holiday makers, travellers, families and groups planning a beach vacation on the Adriatic coast. The property is situated on a large, green estate with panoramic views over the beach and the blue sea, from the roof terrace, which is also ideal for sunbathing. The beach is only 80 metres away and a private, shaded area is reserved for guests. A beach umbrella is included; sunbeds are available as well as showers and toilets for the private use of those staying at Stella Marina.
Between June and September guests can choose to stay on a room only or B & B basis, but all meals are available if required. At other times during the year the guest house operates on a self-catering arrangement. All guest rooms are equipped with an en suite bathroom and a self- service laundry is open at all times. Transfer services are available on request.
The calm waters and safe swimming beach are ideal for children, and canoes and small craft are available for hire. Bicycles can be rented for a small fee.
Stella Marina is administered by the Associazione Stella Marina, a Christian cultural organization.
