Loved our stay as it was so clean and bright.. it was a hike up a very steep hill.. and their seeemed a shortage of taxis in Monterosso.. We needed to take taxis as my sister uses a walker.. Regards Lynne and Rhonda from Australia
Thank you Marco for making us feel so at home at Villa Mesco, such a peaceful place, perched near to the busy beach front. Very clean and with everything you need. We highly recommend and would not hesitate to stay there again.
We stayed here at the end of the season and found it a comfortable and friendly place to relax and with great staff. Its an uphill walk to reach the place from the beach, but a good way of working of the gelato. However, I saw plenty of taxis making their way up with beachgoers inside, and it can't have been an expensive trip. I love the easy-going atmosphere here the food and the people. I hope to be lucky enough to return.
Villa Mesco is a vacation house managed by the religious order of the Fathers of the Padre Semeria Institute, and is located on a hill overlooking the little seaside town of Monterrosso al Mare. The villa lies in a quiet area area and is ideally located for a peaceful and relaxing stay. Crystal clear water, sandy beaches and plenty of cafes and restaurant can be found in the village which is 500 m downhill from the villa. If travelling to the village with luggage it would be best to take a taxi. Without luggage it is a pleasant, though uphill walk from the town. The village overlooks both a free and a 'pay' beach and the walking paths the Cinque Terre is famous for can be accessed from here.
Villa Mesco has been recently renovated and the house is comprised of 18 guest rooms all with air conditioning and ensuite bathrooms. Private parking can be arranged and all meals are available if required.
General tourists are welcome to holiday here along with families and groups of all kinds. The nearest (paid) beach is at the bottom of the hill and guests can take advantage of a 10% discount.
