Our small group experienced such warmth and friendliness at this hospitable Christian guesthouse. The views of the lake and the surroundings are magical.
The House on the Lake overlooks the placid waters of Lake Trasimeno and is located in an ancient fishing village in the municipality of Castiglione del Lago. The building was once a school which has been converted into a lovely guest house, with spacious ensuite guest rooms, some with views of the lake.
Bicycles can be hired for exploring the little fishing villages dotted around the lake, or getting to the 12th century Knights of Templar Castle. If all that exercise is not for you then you can always relax in a hammock in the garden of the guesthouse. While it is a 2-minute stroll to the beach the hotel swimming pool is even closer.
On-site parking is provided but if you are travelling by train the house operates a pick-up service from Magione Train Station.
